About Hereford Funds

Our Story

Founded in 2007 by Anthony Galliers-Pratt and Mark Henderson, Hereford Funds is a Luxembourg-domiciled UCITS umbrella fund established with a clear objective: to provide European investors with access to exceptional investment talent.

Our focus is on identifying high-quality boutique investment managers, primarily based outside Europe, whose strategies are often unavailable to European investors through traditional distribution channels. Through carefully selected partnerships, Hereford Funds offers institutional-calibre investment solutions via a range of sub-funds hosted on its Luxembourg platform.

Anthony Galliers-Pratt | Chairman,

Anthony is Chairman of Hereford Funds, a Director at HF Arode (a Luxembourg authorised management company), and Managing Partner of Hereford Funds Advisory. With over 43 years of experience in equities and asset management, Anthony began his career at W.I. Carr (Overseas) Ltd before holding senior positions at SBCI, BZW and SBC Warburg. He founded Hereford Funds in 2007 to create a Luxembourg-based SICAV offering investors access to diverse global investment strategies from exceptional boutique managers.

Enrico Mela | Director,
Hereford Funds

Enrico is a Director of Hereford Funds, Managing Partner of Hereford Funds Advisory, and Chief Executive Officer and Conducting Officer of HF Arode Asset Management S.A., appointed in July 2024. Based in Luxembourg, he is responsible for the operational oversight and strategic development of the platform. With over 30 years of experience in asset management, Enrico has previously held senior roles at Bellatrix Asset Management, EFG Fund Management, VP Fund Solutions and Brown Brothers Harriman (Luxembourg).
